Rev. Meredith Mills

Senior Pastor
Rev. Meredith Mills joined Westminster UMC on May 1st, 2019.  Rev. Meredith Mills has been a United Methodist pastor since 2008. She earned her BA at UT Austin in 2005 and her MDiv at Duke Divinity School in 2008. She has previously served as associate pastor of FUMC Nacogdoches and senior pastor of FUMC Wharton. Her most recent ministry has been the founding and cultivating of gastrochurch--a nontraditional ministry focused on engaging churched and unchurched people in spiritual conversations over food.

Meredith is married to Jordan, and they have a daughter Annabelle June and a son named John. They also have three cats and twelve backyard chickens, so you might get free eggs if you catch her at the right time. She is thrilled to be joining the work of God at Westminster UMC.

KAISI CUNNINGHAM

Director of Program Ministries

Kaisi will lead and coordinate staff and volunteers to design and implement age level ministries for all children and youth and adults. She has more than twenty years of ministry experience. She also has training as a pastoral counselor, where she has provided support to couples and families. She holds a Master of Divinity Degree and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from McMurry University.

TRESON ALLEN

Contemporary Worship Director

​Treson is our contemporary Worship Director here at Westminster and has been with us for two years. He has held a position as a Worship Leader/Music Director since he was 16 years old, and has taken his passion and talent for music and turned it into a career. However, he says the most important things in his life are Jesus, his wife of three years and their beautiful daughter.

Director of Westminster Kids Ministry

Millie holds a Master of Education from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Centenary College of Louisiana. She has extensive staff experience with children, youth and adult ministries. She is currently a second grade teacher at Ascension Episcopal School. She brings with her enthusiasm, new ideas, and a “can-do” attitude that will serve her well as she leads this critical mission area of our church. She and her husband, Galen have three grown children. William and his wife, Melissa, and their three children live in Houston. Mitchell and his wife Brooke also live in Houston.  Madeline is a recent Texas A&M graduate and lives in Houston. Millie feels incredibly blessed to be a part of a church with such warmth and vitality.

CHRISTOPHER C. CARTER

​Director of Music for Traditional Music
Gustavo is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his piano training at the age of 6 and subsequently his organ studies at the “Conservatorio Nacional” of Buenos Aires with Professor Luis Caparra. Before coming to the United States, he was the Organist for the Basilica of “Sagrado Corazón” and “Nuestra señora del Pilar” in Buenos Aires. He has taken master classes with Key Koito, Daniel Roth, Peter Planyavsky, Martin Haselböck, Paul Jacobs and Michael Radulescu. He has performed recitals as a soloist and accompanist in Argentina, Bolivia, Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia and the United States.

​He graduated from Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, Connecticut, where he studied with Stephen Roberts. He completed his Master’s degree in organ performance and Performer Diploma at Indiana University under the guidance of Dr. Christopher Young. Before coming to Houston, he served as Organist and Music Director at Galilee Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach for almost a decade and is now Assistant Music Director at St Theresa Catholic Church, in Sugar Land. 
​Christopher C. Carter, Detroit native, is the Artistic Founder for Voices of Houston. Voices of Houston was established to preserve the cultural identity and integrity of Negro Spirituals and to build an authentic musical community. Christopher is an educator, musician, and servant leader, who is dedicated using music as a vehicle for positive social change in the world.

​He holds his bachelors and master’s in education and is currently completing his doctoral studies in Educational Leadership. Christopher had served as the Director of Music in several spiritual settings and is the current Director of Music for Traditional Worship at Westminster United Methodist Church. During his tenure at Bowling Green State University, Christopher founded Voices at BGSU Concert Choir (2013), an 80-member choral ensemble dedicated to the performance of Negro Spirituals. Christopher has been featured as guest conductor in a variety of musical settings which include the Beverly Thomas Fine Arts Institute and the 2018 Underground Railroad: Spiritual Journey concert featuring Ms. Kathleen Battle.

RUTHIE HOLGUIN

Asst. Director of Westminster WDS

Ruthie has been with Westminster for 15 years. She has a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Houston. She taught in the classroom for four years, was the CDO Curriculum Coordinator for nine years and is beginning her third year as Assistant Director. She has 2 sons and a daughter: Anderson (16) is in 11th grade, Paulie (10) is in 5th grade, and Nina (9) is in 4th grade.
