Our annual flashlight egg hunt is fun for the whole community. We have music and entertainment on the lawn, food trucks, a giveaway table with hundreds of dollars in prizes, and egg hunts for all ages. When we say all ages, we mean it! At 8pm there are three different categories of egg hunts that happen at the same time: 0-5, 6-11, and 12 and up. So adults are welcome to bring a basket, grab a flashlight, and relive your childhoods as you hunt for eggs. Maybe you’ll get lucky and find one of our golden eggs with a gift card in it!
*NEW THIS YEAR*
- Visit our Meet Your Neighbors tent to enjoy a mocktail and meet some neighbors. Choose a cup color based on your neighborhood so you can identify the people who live near you.
- Visit our Giveaway table to sign up for one of our giveaway prizes! Fill out a form and choose your item. Must be present to win.
- Help us feed hungry kids! Because Harris County has such a high rate of food insecurity among kids, we are partnering with Kids Meals to provide meals for preschool and school-aged children. Please bring one or more of the items below and drop it off at our Donation table.
- Drinks – 100% juice boxes, small water bottles, or shelf-stable milk.
- Snacks – Whole wheat crackers, skinny pop, granola bars, pretzels
- Protein – shelf-stable tuna, chicken salad, jerky sticks, or peanut butter crackers
- Fruit – shelf-stable fruit cups, applesauce, 100% fruit snacks, or dried fruit
6pm – Lawn opens with food trucks, booths, face painting, and balloon animals.
6:30pm – Music starts on the lawn
6:30pm – Egg hunt for ages 0-5. This hunt is in the daylight so younger children don’t have to stay for the full event.
7pm – Silk dancers perform on the lawn
8pm – Egg hunts for ages 0-5, 6-11, and 12 and up in designated locations. See map below.
