CHILDREN'S MINISTRY AT WESTMINSTER
(Birth - 2nd grade)

Here at Westminster, we believe faith formation starts at birth. We have wonderful, loving and loyal leaders each week that lead our children on an age-appropriate faith journey through story-telling, prayers, and music. We are so blessed to have such an amazing staff that ensures our little ones feel and know the love of God. By using best practices we ensure your children take little steps to big faith—starting at birth.

On Sunday mornings, The Bible is brought to life through play, imagination, hands-on learning and easy-to-use content. The children will go through the Bible using these techniques twice in this 2-year curriculum. Gaining the greatest understanding possible, your child will know all about Jesus and his word before entering middle school age.
Sunday School - 10:05 am –11:05 am

YOUR FIRST VISIT

Here's what to expect when visiting Westminster Children's for the first time:

Families and their children will go into the service together (Note:*Childcare is open for infants-2 year old starting at 8:45 am.) During 9:05 am and 11:05 am Services, children enjoy the first 15 minutes of the service seated with their parents. Following the Children’s Sermon, children 2 yrs-3rd grade may leave the service with our ministry staff for Children's Church, a time of crafts and play, in rooms A105 and A100. Children are always welcome to remain in the service with their parents.

Upon checking in for the first time, visitors will fill out an information form which will be entered into our system, allowing you to check-in at any of our stations on your next visit. We will ask for the following personal information. (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birth date
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children.

SAFETY AND CHECK-IN

Before Service:
We have a check-in system that allows a parent to check in their child at one of our  stations set-up around the church.  The printer will print out two stickers - a name sticker for the check-in sheet and a small sticker for the parent to keep and use for pick-up.  When picking up your child, you will need to show your sticker to the teacher and that number will need to match to your child’s number on the check-in sheet.

During Service:
During 9:05 am and 11:05 am Services, children enjoy the first 15 minutes of the service seated with their parents. Following the Children’s Sermon, children 2 yrs-2nd grade may leave the service with our ministry staff for Children's Church, a time of crafts and play, in rooms A105 and A100. Children are always welcome to remain in the service with their parents.

After Services:
  • During the 10:05 small group hour, children ages three and up should be picked up from their Sunday School classrooms before going into the 11:05 am Traditional Service.
  • Children ages two and younger may stay in the nursery for the entirety of either service.
  • Note: Children ages three and up that are not picked up at this time will be taken into the Sanctuary for the Traditional Service.
