    CONNECT WITH US!

The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the      development of Christian disciples.  The Emmaus Weekend is a wonderful opportunity to walk with Jesus and      learn of God's love, grace and plan for your life.  You will be richly blessed by this experience.  For more      information go to www.hwec.org, contact Dennis Hurta at dhurta@sbcglobal.net, or call Ginger Hurta at      713.782.7750.

    SERVE WITH US!

CCSC is expanding its ministry deeper into southwest Houston.  They are establishing a second food pantry on the grounds of Gethsemane UMC to increase their outreach.  CCSC is asking their 37 covenant churches, of which Westminster is one, to help with this effort.  We will continue our food drive throughout the summer and dedicate collected, non-perishable food items to the new facility.

CCSC Back to School workdays will be held Saturday, August 2 and Friday and Saturday, August 8 and 9 at Faith Lutheran Church.

Houston Habitat for Humanity build dates are the first three weekends in September.  The Outreach/Mission Team will have more information to share concerning volunteer registration later in the summer.

Mission Trip-4 Corners Area- We are all very excited about our July 19-27 mission trip to the Navajo Indian Reservation at White Cone, AZ.  We will be working on building projects as well as conducting Vacation Bible School for the young people.  It will be a wonderful opportunity to answer Christ's call to make disciples.  If you are interested, please contact the pastor at bwebb@wumc.com or 713.782.7750.
